WORKING BORDER COLLIES

The American Border Collie Association stands as a registry to track the pedigrees of working border collies. Herding is what originally defined the breed, and the ABCA upholds that tradition. Working-bred dogs can look wildly different than the AKC standard and dogs are bred based on what they can do, not what they look like.

My dogs love to work, but they are also my pets and family members. They get plenty of rest on my furniture, hikes throughout the east Tennessee mountains, and trips to downtown Knoxville to visit and lick as many willing people as possible! If you see them out and about, do stop them to say hello!

Our Breeding Philosophy

Breeding is something I weigh very carefully here, and take a very nuanced approach--there are a lot of factors that go into breeding a dog, and I've broken them down into several categories that are important to me.

Puppy Raising

I do my absolute best to raise my puppies in an environment that makes their transition to their new homes as easy as possible with both ENS, ESI, and modified puppy culture protocols.

Health Guarantee

I always offer a health guarantee with all my puppies, and I have contracts not only to protect me, but to protect you and your puppy.

Puppy Registration

My puppies are sold multiple different ways, depending on the breeding, individual puppy, expertise of the owner, availability to test the dog on stock, etc.. I consider this an open conversation with each owner, and something that is not always static.
